AQUIFEM-N, Multi-Layered Finite-Element Models and Modeling/Modelling Software

AQUIFEM-N is a multi-layered finite-element aquifer flow model developed by Dr. Lloyd Townley, one of the authors of AQUIFEM-1 at MIT in 1979-80. The model uses linear triangular elements and is accompanied by associated grid generation and plotting software.

AQUIFEM-N can simulate steady and unsteady flow in single or multiple aquifers (2-D or quasi 3-D), steady flow in 2-D vertical sections, and steady and unsteady solute transport in a 2-D aquifer or vertical section.
